Open a video you own or to which you have co-editor rights. Open the action menu on the right hand side below the video and choose ‘Analytics’:

In this new screen you will see the following information. The tabs ‘Dashboard’ ‘Channels’, ‘Categories’ and ‘Users’. The ‘Dashboard’ tab will open by default and will show you the most important information you need to know, being:

  • Amount of visits to the video page (Visits).
  • Amount of times the video has been played (Plays).
  • Percentage of viewers who stopped the video during playback or closed the video window (View drop off).
  • Average view time (AVG View time).
  • Amount of Likes (Likes).
  • Amount of comments (Comments).

Below the metric data there are a few lists with amounts of top plays in a channel, category and top viewers.

‘Categories’ displays in which category the video can be viewed and how many times it was viewed there, how often the page was visited, the ratio of visits to plays, the percentage for how often a video was stopped or the page was closed during viewing and the average view time.

This information cannot be used on a whim. When you want to use the analytical data, please contact the videocoördinator for your faculty!
